Exquisite escape with lake views, second-floor deck & sunroom - dog-friendly

This airbnb is a guest house and I am very disappointed with the inaccurate description of the property. I am hopeful that in the future they will update the property so that others aren’t shocked with the privacy impairment and misrepresentation upon arrival. When we got to the property, it was time for dinner. After spending 15 hours traveling, I expected to come inside to start cooking. I did not expect to find a dish washer full of dirty dishes that I had to wash all by hand. On top of that, none of the lights were working outside to grill and the grill was absolutely disgusting and we could not find any cleaning supplies to clean that ourselves. The floors were so dirty that our feet/socks were filthy within minutes. The dryer was not working during our stay and the host only reached out to us and let us know less than 24 hours prior to our arrival. After checking other reviews, I now see that they have known about this problem for weeks. I would not recommend this property.

The place was nice, we had an issue with the dryer during the stay, and the host company reimbursed us for the dryer not being useable during our stay. The location was easily accessible to most things in the area. Parking was tight (no big trucks)! But upon arrival, we realized the residence had a cap on the AC cooling (70 F, no lower). I can understand that the area is very hot and electricity costs are high, but my partner is currently going through menopause and is experiencing frequent body temp changes, making it hard to sleep and relax at higher temperatures. We contacted the host company and they allowed the temperature to drop 1 degree.....but it was never changed anyway. The televisions in both bedrooms had Apple TV setups, but they were locked down with the owner's account, so we could not add the apps that we use. I'd recommend to just flashing/clear the user account on the Apple TV after every guest leaves. All in all, not a bad experience, but not the greatest either.

A beautiful and peaceful guest house with a separate entrance. Even though it’s off a main road, it’s tucked away and feels private.
