About the property
39 on 25th Avenue
Experience island living in a charming Cape Cod-style home, nestled under fern-and-moss draped oaks in the heart of the Carolina Low Country. Enjoy a prime location, only an 8-minute walk to the beach and fun, and just a short hop to the island center featuring groceries, restaurants, shops, and entertainment.
Inside, find ample space for multiple families (or a really large one). Dine in the large or small open-plan dining rooms, or grill and serve up tasty meals on the sprawling, open deck as you sip your sundowner to the tempo of a sublime sunset.
There’s a large sprawling yard for volleyball, family football, or soccer, and a crab dock with a scenic view of the Intracoastal Waterway and Goat island. And there’s an outdoor shower that’s handy for rinsing off after hitting the sun-soaked beach.
Plus, your island destination is pet-friendly, so there’s no need to leave the most important one at home!
Bottom line: There’s plenty of room for everyone to have their own space or get all together at the dining table, on the deck, on the dock, or on the grassy yard. Enjoy!

This home has plenty of space and is in a great location. You can walk to the beach in less than five minutes and you can also walk to downtown IOP. But the home has not been updated and they do not provide even the basic amount of toiletries and supplies a house of that size would need. We got three rolls of toilet paper and three travel size bars of soap for our four-day stay with 10 women. I contacted the management team and asked for more supplies and they responded that they would handle it. But they never did. Very disappointing for a home at this price point.
The house was charming. Room for everyone in the group. A little far for our group to walk to the beach but Ubers were accommodating.
Before I booked, I messaged the host to ask if the private dock would be good for a quick 3-day fishing getaway. I received an enthusiastic response about how great the fishing is off the dock and that "since the property is situated on the water," I would have "great opportunities to cast a line right from the backyard." The truth is that the dock only has water under it a few hours a day at high tide. The surrounding houses have docks 100yds long out to where the water is always sufficient; this house's dock is useless for most of the day. Also, the TV remote was missing and the TV was unusable without a remote. I messaged within 2 hours of arrival to ask for assistance & was told the "local team" would get back to me. In 3 days they never did. The house itself is very roomy, has a big deck, and is a pleasant 1/2 mile walk to the beach. But the inaccurate communication that enticed me to book here and the lack of follow-up to my concerns during my stay ruined my visit.
