The kitchen is well equipped if you prefer to cook, and the decks offer great spots to relax with a beautiful view of the ocean.

The location is excellent — walking distance to the beach, the fort, nature trails, and several great restaurants. It’s an ideal base for exploring the island.

That said, the house would benefit from better maintenance. Some areas feel worn, and the sliding screen doors to the deck are particularly difficult to use and need attention. The house itself is just what I’m looking for in a beach vacation spot - a functional kitchen, hang out space, nice bedrooms etc. On top of all that there’s a deck, outdoor space and and a sun porch. Last reviewer said it could use some updates, but I think that’s unnecessary for my tastes. I’d rather stay somewhere comfortable but not a real estate flip that feels overly curated or sterile. Yes the aesthetic isn’t the most current, but who cares!  Roomier hang out space than the pictures even convey. Loved our stay and hope we can return." (10/5)
